Wayne Leslie Gallati, 47 of Huntsville, AL, died at 1:30 am Monday, Aug. 3, at Humana Hospital in Huntsville.
He was born May 29, 1945, in Chicago, IL. His parents were Bernice Gallati of Lake Zurich, IL and the late Richard Gallati.
Mr. Gallati had been employed at Telos Corp. as a computer specialist. He also served with the U.S. Navy and served aboard the USS Observation Island during the Vietnam War. He was a member of Lincoln Church of Christ in Huntsville.
He is survived by h is wife, Emogene Melton Atterson Gallati, formerly of Andersonville. They were married Sept. 25, 1970.
Survivors also include two stepsons and their wives, Bill and Lucretia Atterson of the Marlow community and Chris and Sue Atterson of Oliver Springs; six grandchildren, John, Michael, Brittany, Oakley, Sara and Emily Atterson.
A memorial service was held in Huntsville on Tuesday at Spry Funeral Home with Colin McKee and J.B. Whitaker officiating. A graveside service was held Wednesday at Norris Memorial Gardens with Arthur Pigman of the Clinton Church of Christ officiating.
