Evelyn Carter Gamble, 72, of Andersonville, died Thursday in St. Mary’s Medical Center.
Mrs. Gamble was retired form the Standard Knitting Mill in Knoxville and a member of Lincoln Park Baptist Church, Knoxville.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon Gamble; and parents, Edd and Sara Wilson Carter.
Survivors include his son, Charles Gamble of Andersonville; grandchildren, Stacey and Jennifer Gamble of Clinton; sister, Hester Tullock of Tipp City, OH; brothers, Walter Carter of Englewood, OH, and Gillis Carter of Traverse City, MI, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service was Saturday in Holley-Gamble Funeral Home Chapel with the Dr. Robert Burns officiating. Burial will be in Gamble Cemetery, Oak Ridge.
Holley-Gamble Funeral Home, Clinton, was in charge of arrangements.
