Geneva Cox Keeney, 82, of Dismal
Bluff Road, near
Clinton, died Monday at Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge. She had
been a patient in the
coronary care unit for two weeks.
An Anderson County native, her
parents were the late Sam
and Rita Graham Cox. Mrs. Keeney's husband Irwin Keeney, died in
1986.
A homemaker,
Mrs. Keeney had worked for many years as manager of the Mountain View
Elementary School
cafeteria before the school was closed.
She a member of Deep
Springs Baptist
Church.
A daughter said she enjoyed gardening, quilting and being
with her
family.
Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Vivian Carson, Mrs.
David (Judy) Bolling and
Mrs. Mike (Nancy) Stanford. all of Clinton; grandchildren, Janet Foust,
Jackie Harris, Jamie Jones,
David Bolling, Dane and Megan Stanford; great-grandchildren, Katie,
Steven and Benjamin Jones and
Kayla and Kelsey Foust; a sister, Sammie West of Clinton; a brother, Lee
Cox of Knoxville; several
nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Tuesday night at
Holley-Gamble Funeral
Home with the Rev. Jerry Copeland and the Rev. Charles Harness
officiating. Burial was Wednesday
at Tennessee Valley Memory Gardens.
