Peggy Ann Gibbs, age 75, of Lake City, passed away Monday, Jan. 7, 2002, at Lake City Health Care Center.

She was born Sept. 18, 1925, in Lynchburg, VA.

Peggy was a member of Main Street Baptist Church. She was retired from DOE after 10 years of service. She was a retired school teacher of 33 years for Lake City.

She is preceded in death by: parents, Charles and Mary Black Noffsinger; husband, Robert “Bob” Gibbs.

Survivors: son, Carl Raymond “Ray” Hicks of Lake City.

Visitation was 7-8 pm Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2002, at Cox-Martin Funeral Home in Lake City.

Memorial service was 8 pm Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2002, in the Cox-Martin Chapel with the Rev. Brian Courtney officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: Main Street Baptist Church, Family Life Center, P.O. Box 405, Lake City, Tenn., 37769.

Cox-Martin Funeral Home in Lake City in charge of arrangements.
