Mrs. Claudette Gilliam, age 64, of Lake City, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2002 at Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge.
She was born Nov. 18, 1937 in Crossville.
She was of the Baptist faith.
She was preceded in death by: parents, John Claude Lewis and Amanda Boston Lewis; husband, Jim Gilliam; brother, Beecher Lewis; sister, Virginia Green.
Survivors: sons and daughters-in-law, Scott and Martha Gilliam and David and Kitty Gilliam, all of Lake City; grandchildren, Jamie Gilliam, Gregory Gilliam, Sonja and Tyrine; two great-grandchildren; sisters, May Turner of Orlando, FL, Eva Jean Scott of Crossville, Betty Jane Sparks of Connecticut; many loved nieces, nephews, a host of friends and other family.
Visitation was 6-8 pm Friday, Jan. 18, 2002 at Cox-Martin Funeral Home, with funeral service following at 8 pm in the Cox-Martin Chapel with the Rev. Tom Byrge officiating. Interment is at 2 pm Saturday, Jan. 19, 2002 at Anderson Memorial Gardens.
