Robert Lee Green, 66, of Clinton died Sunday, Oct. 25, 1998, in Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge.
Mr. Green was of the Baptist faith. He was a U.S. Army veteran, having served in the Korean Conflict. While in the Army, Mr. Green received the United Nations Service Medal, Korean Service Medal with five bronze stars, Good Conduct Medal, Meritorious Unit Emblem and the National Defense Service medal.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse Green and Mary Hassler Green.
Mr. Green is survived by his son, Greg Green and wife Kelly; by two sisters, Creola McKamey, and Lou Graham and husband Glenn; by two grandchildren, Greg Lee Green Jr., and Jody Patterson; and by several nieces and nephews.
The family received friends from 6-8 pm Monday, Oct. 26, in the chapel of Anderson County Funeral Home, Clinton.
The funeral service was 8 pm Monday, Oct. 26, in the funeral home chapel with ministers Earl Wright and Steve McKamey officiating.
A graveside service with full military honors presented by the Volunteer State Veterans Honor Guard was conducted 10 am Tuesday, Oct. 27, in Anderson Memorial Gardens.
Anderson County Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
