Pauline M. Hackler, 83, of Norris died Saturday, April 5, 1997, in Methodist Medical Center.

Born Sept. 23, 1913, in Damascus, VA. She was a charter member of Norris United Methodist Church, where she was very active in UMW.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jesse and Stella Able Moorefield.

Survivors include her husband, Ed Hackler; sons, H. Dean and wife Rita Hackler of Norris, Bob and wife Linda Hackler of Clinton, and Ron and wife Pat Hackler of Hendersonville, TN; sister, Ora Cullop of Damascus, VA; grandchildren, Scott Hackler, Kim Zachman, Pam Bonee, Lori Collins, Rob Hackler, and Kristin Hackler; great-grandchildren, Kelsey Hackler, Gabriel Hackler, Lauren Bonee, Mallory Bonee and Wade Collins; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation was from 7-9 pm Monday, April 7, in Holley-Gamble Funeral Home, Clinton.

Funeral services were conducted 11 am Tuesday, April 8, in Norris United Methodist Church with the Rev. Catherine Nance officiating. Burial was in Norris Memorial Garden.
