Ed Hagan, 68, of Claxton, died Aug 5, at the Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge after a long illness.
He was born May 3, 1925, in Harlan, Ky., to the late Bass Mark and Scepra Lowery Hagan. A son, Dale Hagan, died earlier.
He enjoyed hunting and NASCAR racing. Mr Hagan attended the Church of God in Oak Ridge.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara Marie Houston Hagan; sons, Ray Edward Hagan, Jr and his wife, Jen, and Mark Hagan, all of Claxton; a daughter and son-in-law, Sandy and Mike Balsley of Claxton; a sister, Geneva Parris of Nashville; grandsons, Nicholas and Kristofer Hagan, and a granddaughter, Sierra Balsley, all of Claxton; several neices and nephews.
The funeral was held Sunday at Martin Oak Ridge Funeral Home with the Rev Ed Denham and the Rev James Bandy officiating. Burial was Monday at Oak Ridge Memorial Park.
