Evelyn Braden Hale, 61, of Oliver Springs, died Friday in her home.
Mrs. Hale was born Jan. 3, 1932, in Anderson County, the daughter of Homer and Cindy Braden. She attended Cove Road Primitive Baptist Church, Oliver Springs. She retired as a cook from the restaurant industry.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Hale; and her parents.
Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Gwendolyn and Jasper Smith of Dalton, GA, and Barbara and Rick Hyle of Jacksonville, SC; six sons and daughters-in-law, Homer Braden of Lake City, Charles Braden and Barry Braden, both of Clinton, Gary and Valerie Braden of Vinton, OH, James and Mary Evelyn Braden of Knoxville and Freddy and Deborah Phillips of Oliver Springs; 20 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Lucille and Charles Durbin of Irvington, KY and Clara and Bob Adkins of Lake City; and a brother and sister-in-law, William Charles and Betty Braden of Lake City.
Funeral service was Sunday in Cove Road Primitive Baptist Church, Oliver Springs, with the Rev. Oscar Patterson and Elder Ronnie Crisp officiating. Burial was Monday in Sulphur Springs Cemetery, Clinton. Cox Funeral Home, Lake City, was in charge of arrangements.
