Opal G. Hale




Opal G. Hale, 83, of Oliver Springs, died Wednesday in the home of her daughter in Oak Ridge.

A native of Scott County, she had lived in the Richmond, IN area for more than 30 years and in Oliver Springs for the past five years. She was of the Baptist faith and was a homemaker.

Mrs. Hale was preceded in death by her parents, Oliver Vincent Justice and Martha Belle West Justice; by her husband, Oliver Paul Hale; one sister, Louise Collins; and three brothers, Herstle Justice, Robert Justice and Harold Justice.

Survivors include four daughters and sons-in-law, Sue and Bill McCarley of Oak Ridge, Ann and Bill Rodriquez of Maryland, Paulette and Allan Getz of Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, and Sheila and Eddie Yeates of Indianapolis, IN; three sons and daughters-in-law, Donald Hale of Richmond, IN, David and Barbara Hale of Santa Barbara, CA and Richard and Shirley Hale of Richmond, IN; four brothers and sisters-in-law, Lester and Nora Justice, O.D. and Alene Justice, Arlie and Willie Mae Justice and Denny and Euvenna Justice, all of Oliver Springs; stepmother, Ardella Leigh of Oliver Springs; 15 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Funeral service was 1 pm Saturday in Sharp Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Garvin Walls officiating. Graveside service and burial was Saturday in Lost Creek Cemetery, Sparta.
