Lloyd Lee Hall, age 79, of Clinton passed away Monday, Jan. 21, 1998 in Morristown-Hamblen Hospital.
He was born Jan. 29, 1918, in Forest City, NC.
Preceded in death by his wife, Velna Dorsett Hall; parents, John and Anna Hall; sisters, Anna Mae Forbis and Bernice Brady.
Mr. Hall was a member of First Baptist Church in Clinton, where he served as a teacher and a deacon. Until his retirement in 1983, he was employed as a laboratory technician at Oak Ridge National Laboratory. He was elected as an alderman on the Clinton City Council and served many years on the Powell-Clinch Gas Board.
Survivors: son and daughter-in-law, Sidney and Margaret Hall of Morristown; sisters, Louise Morrell of Phoenix, AZ; Reba Bowles of St. Charles, MO; Joyce Bogart of Rockledge, FL and Oveda Pearson of Oak Ridge; brother, the Rev. Walter Hall of Suffolk, VA; granddaughter, Rebecca Grace Hall of Knoxville; grandson, Robert Andrew Hall of Knoxville.
The family will receive friends from 2-3 pm Wednesday, Jan. 14, in Holley-Gamble Funeral Home, with funeral service following at 3 pm in the chapel with the Rev. Samuel Dean officiating. Interment will follow in McCarty-Woodhaven Memory Gardens, Claxton.
