Eva Edwards Hamby, 72, of Clinton died Thursday in St. Mary’s Medical Center, Knoxville.
She was born May 17, 1922, in Lake City, the daughter of Edd and Ruth Giles Edwards.
Mrs. Hamby was a charter member of Faith Lutheran Church of Oak Ridge and a charter associate of Christ Lutheran Church of Fairfield Glades. She was active in garden clubs, wildflower groups and ladies church groups.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include her husband, Newton E. Hamby; sons, Ethan E. Hamby of Crossville and Eric N. Hamby of Knoxville; sisters, Pauline Bailey and husband Ralph of Oak Ridge and Carrie Bingham and husband Ralph of Deer Park, OH; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral service was Friday in Faith Lutheran Church with Rev. James P, Evers officiating. Burial was in Anderson Memorial Gardens.
Weatherford Mortuary of Oak Ridge was in charge of arrangements.
