Edith Henderson Harris, age 87, of Clinton, passed away Wednesday, April 3, 2002, at Asbury Acres Nursing Home in Maryville.
She was born May 13, 1914, in Anderson County.
She had worked in the office of Circuit Court Clerk in Anderson County from 1967-1991 as an assistant to the Circuit Court Clerk, exclusively for Tom Alderson.
Preceded in death by: parents, Atwood and Jessie Henderson; twin sister, Eddeth McNamara; brothers, William L. Henderson Sr., and James Henderson.
Her special friends were her pets. They were the love of her life.
Survivors: Nieces, Joyce Lovinggood and husband James of Maryville, Linda Morton and husband Don of Maryville, Shirley Burns of Birmingham, AL; nephews, William L. “Dub” Henderson and wife Mary Lynn of Nashville, Raymond McNamara and wife Ida of Chattanooga, James H. “Bo” Henderson and wife Shirley of Maryville; several great-nieces and great-nephews; sisters-in-law, Rose and Loreta Henderson of Maryville.
She was loved dearly by her nieces and nephews and cousins.

Graveside service was 2 pm Friday, April 5, 2002, at Farmers Grove Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Joe Bridges officiating.
