Winnie Hatfield, 89, of Oliver Springs died
Monday, May 6, 1996, in Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge following a long
illness.
Mrs. Hatfield was a native of Caryville and lived in Anderson County for the past 55
years. She was a charter member of Mineral Springs Baptist Church and a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John J. Barnes and Flora Kilby Barnes; her husband, Clifford Hatfield; and four children, Geneda Owens, Joe Hatfield, David Hatfield and Jeri Latham.
Survivors are daughters and sons-in-law, Pauline Johnson of Oliver Springs, Lena Ruth and Frank Brooks Jr. of Clinton, Mary Kate and Harold Smith of Clinton and Janie and James Hardigree of Clinton; sons and daughters-in-law, Tommy and Marie Hatfield of Clinton, John J. and Edith Hatfield of Coalfield and Maurice and Connie Hatfield of Lancaster, Calif.; sister, Willie Cobb of Crossville; 26 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; special friends, Linda Johnson and staff of Symphony Home Care Services of Wartburg.
Family received friends 6-8:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 8, in Sharp Funeral Home, Oliver Springs.
Funeral services was held 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 8, in Sharp Funeral Home with the Rev. Haze Bass, Rev. John Lynn Randolph and Rev. Luke Kidwell officiating.
Graveside services and burial are 11 a.m. Thursday, May 9, in Batley Cemetery.
