William Everett Haynes




William Everett Haynes, 75, of Heiskell passed away Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2002, at East Tennessee Baptist Hospital in Knoxville.

Everett was born August 22, 1926, in Anderson County.

He retired from Southern Extract as a Millwright Operator and later retired from Briggs Incorporated in the Forks of the River in Knoxville as a Maintenance Mechanic. He was a United States Air Force veteran who served in World War II. He was of the Baptist faith.

Preceded in death by parents, D.F. and Lottie Pickett Haynes; sister, Mary Frank France; brothers, Leon, Clifton, Buddy, Jack and Arthur Haynes.

Survivors include: wife of 55 years, Juanita Haynes of Heiskell; daughters, Linda Haynes of Heiskell and Shirlene Mink and husband Eddie of Powell; grandson, Bryan Mink of Knoxville; sisters, Carolyn Whitsell and Wilma Patt; brothers, Vernon, Benny and Roy Haynes, all of Powell; several nieces and nephews; devoted friend, Ernie Underwood of Straw Plains.

The family will receive friends 6-8 pm, Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2002 at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton. Graveside service will be held 2 pm Thursday, at Woodhaven Memorial Gardens in Claxton with the Rev. Jack Anderson officiating.

Holley-Gamble Funeral Home of Clinton in charge of all arrangements.
