Linda Gail Hicks, age 48, of Knoxville, passed away Jan. 11, 2002 at Vanderbilt Hospital.

She was a member of Riverview Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by: father, Carl Shown; sister Carlene Horton.

Survivors: husband of 32 years, Grover Hicks; son and daughter-in-law, Grover and Marissa Hicks; daughters, Gala and Felicia Hicks; grandchildren, Hunter, Taylor and Kaleigh Hicks; mother, Geneva Shown; brother, David Shown; sisters, Maybelle Roop, Debbie Pryor, Teresa Henderson; several nieces and nephews.

The family received friends 2-4 pf Sunday, Jan. 13, 2002 at Riverview Baptist Church in Claxton with the service following at 4 pm with Brother Don Hensley officiating.

Interment followed in the church cemetery.

Weaver Funeral Home, 5815 Western Ave., Knoxville, in charge of arrangements.
