Roxie Ezell Hunley, age 87, of Clinton, formerly of Andersonville, passed away Sunday, Dec. 30, 2001 at Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge.

Roxie was born Dec. 16, 1914 in Anderson County.

She was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors: daughters, Oma Mills and husband James of Maryville, Pearl Powers and husband Basil of Lake City, Ola Brock of Clinton; sons, Dewey Ezell and wife Lois of Lake City, Lawrence Sanders of Clinton; step-daughter Lorene and Willard Elliott of Clinton; step-son, Lonnie and Violet Ezell of Andersonville; sisters, Lula Rose of Heiskell, Edna and Dewey Ezell of Andersonville, Vandalee Bell of Maynardville; brothers, Clifford Foust of Lake City, Nealas and Reba Foust of Heiskell; 21 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren; several step-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

The family received friends 6-8 pm Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2002 at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton.

Funeral service is 11 am Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2002 in the chapel with the Rev. Jess Ward and the Rev. Paul Hatmaker officiating.

Interment will follow at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church.
