Charles Sevier Jackson, 70, of
Oliver Springs, died
Sunday at the Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge.
He was
preceded in death by his
parents, David S. and Cumile Russell Jackson.
Mr. Jackson was a
member of Windrock
Baptist Church. He had lived in the Oliver Springs area most of his
life.
A veteran of World
War I I, he served with the Navy. He was a member of International
Brotherhood of Electrical
Workers 760 Local Union.
Survivors include his best friend and
companion for eight years,
Dixie Hoskins and her daughter, Sissie Shelby, both of Oliver Springs;
four sons, Charles Jackson of
Lake Placid, Fla.; Joe Jackson and Robert Jackson, both of Wartburg; Tony
Jackson of Morristown;
brothers, Jimmie Jackson of Oliver Springs and J.L. Jackson of Oak Ridge;
sisters, Thelma Patterson
and Daisy Goins, both of Coalfield; Madge Phillips of Oliver Springs; 11
grandchildren and one great-
grandchild; uncle, Bill Russell of Pennsylvania; special friends, Mike,
Phil, Dave and
Jerry.
Services were held Tuesday night in the chapel of Sharp
Funeral Home with the Rev.
Ellis Patterson and the Rev. Bill Bass officiating. Burial was Wednesday
morning at Anderson
Memorial Gardens..
