Irene Jackson, 79, life-long
Coalfield resident, died
Saturday in her home.
Mrs. Jackson was a life-lone member of
Middlecreek Baptist Church
and a member of Coalfield Senior Citizens. She enjoyed raising flowers
and caring for her
lawn.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Sam and Nancy
Wiggins Wormsley; her
husband, Welch Jackson, and three brothers, Sam, Clyde and Charlie
Wormsley.
Survivors
include sons and daughters-in-law, Donald and Madge Jackson of Kingston,
Jackie A. and Sherrell
Jackson and Jerry and Sharon Jackson, all of Coalfield; Naomi and D.B.
Daughtery of Caolfield;
brother, Wilbert Wormsley of Coalfield; sisters, Lillian Jones of
Swansea, SC; and Helen Maston of
Coalfield; 13 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Funeral
service was Monday in Sharp
Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Jim Carr and the Rev. Lloyd Napier
officiating. Burial and
graveside service were Tuesday in Estes Cemetery,
Coalfield.
