Clara Bridges Jeffers, 81, died
June 17 at Anderson
County Health Care Center in Clinton. She was a native and former
resident of Elk Valley in Campbell
County. She had been a resident of the Center for about a
year.
Survivors include her
husband of over 60 years, Lawrence Jeffers; a daughter, Linda Blaker of
Clinton; sons and daughters-
in-law, Dan Jeffers of Salisbury, NC; Jimmy and Peggy Jeffers of Clinton;
Freddie and Wanda Jeffers
of Oak Ridge; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sisters,
Flora Wells of Oak Ridge; Nola
Lowe of Clinton; a brother, Andy Bridges of Elk Valley; several nieces
and nephews.
Funeral
services were held Wednesday afternoon at Stanfield Baptist Church with
the Rev. Jack Taylor and
the Rev. Leo Williams officiating. Burial was in Warren's Memorial
Cemetery. Holley-Gamble Funeral
Home was in charge of arrangements.
