Dudley L. (Doug) Jenkins, 65, of
Lake City, died
Tuesday at Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge. He was a North
Carolina native.
His
parents were the late Sam and Josephine Jenkins. A daughter, Janet
Jenkins, also preceded him in
death.
Mr. Jenkins, a retired machinist, had worked at the Y-12
Plant of Union
Carbide.
He was of the Baptist faith and was an Army veteran of
World War I
I.
Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Susie Miller Jenkins of
Lake City; sons and
daughters-in-law, J.C. and Kathy Jenkins of Lake City; Michael and Mary
Jenkins of Oak Ridge;
Darrell and Ann Jenkins of Lake City; sons, Bob Jenkins and Harold Dean
(Doll) Jenkins , both of Lake
City; daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara and Tony Ault of Lake City and
Betty and Steve White of
Clinton; one sister, Almeda Larivee of Lake City; a brother, Ernest
Jenkins of Lake City and 13
grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 11 am Friday at Cox
Funeral Home in Lake City
with the Rev. David Walker and the Rev. George Miller officiating.
Burial will be at Leach Cemetery.
Grandsons will be pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 7 -
9 pm Thursday at the funeral
home.
