James E. Jenkins, 50, of Oliver
Springs, died
Thursday from injuries sustained in a mining accident.
A Lenior
City native, Mr. Jenkins had
lived in the Oliver Springs area most of his life. He enjoyed fishing
and was a member of the Atomic
Bass Club.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Homer Frank
Jenkins and Nannie
Hembree Jenkins; and a daughter Kimberly Noe.
Survivors include his
wife, Sandra Jenkins of
Oliver Springs; son and daughter-in-law, Doug and Mary Jo Jenkins of Oak
Ridge; daughters and
sons-in-law, Tina and Daniel Poore and Tammy and Jeff Brummett, all of
Clinton; brothers, Pete
Jenkins of Oliver Springs, Blane Jenkins of Jonesboro, Ga., Tommy Jenkins
of Columbus, Miss., and
Gary Jenkins of Oak Ridge; sister and brother-in-law, Betty and Mickey
Cox of Harriman; nine
grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral service was
Saturday in Sharp
Funeral Home chapel with Richard Powlus officiating. Graveside service
and burial was Sunday in Oak
Ridge Memorial Park.
