Lucy Adkins Jennings, age 90, of Clinton, passed away Friday, April 12, 2002 at her residence.

She was born Nov. 4, 1911 in Scott County.

She attended Deep Springs Baptist Church. She enjoyed doing all types of crafts and quilting for people.

Preceded in death by: husband, Frank Jennings; parents, Alvie and Ada Jeffers Adkins; brothers, Ed Cook and R.L. Adkins.

Survivors: son and daughter-in-law, Horace and Bobbie Lee Jennings of Lake City; daughter and son-in-law, Willie and Cecil Martin of Clinton; sister, Grace Stanley of Melford, MI; granddaughters, Rhonda Gail Gilliam of Lake City, Cathy Adams and husband Barry of Kingston; grandson, Kenneth Martin and wife Angela of Heiskell; great-granddaughter, Amanda Sitzler of Kingston; great-grandson, Cameron Sitzler of Kingston; special friends, Ann Oaks of Kingston and Betty Sorrells of Clinton; several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Sunday, April 14, 2002 at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton with the funeral service following at 8 pm in the chapel with the Rev. Don Jordan officiating.

Interment will be at 2 pm Monday, April 15, 2002 at Hinds Creek Cemetery.
