Former Andersonville resident Avon
H. Keeton (a.k.a.
Avon H. Terry) of Oregon, Ohio, died Friday evening in his
home.
Mr. Keeton was employed
by Libbey Glass as a glass worker for 30 years, retiring in 1978. He
served four years in the U.S. Army during World War I I in the Pacific Theater. He was an avid
baseball fan and also enjoyed
fishing and woodworking.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy; sons
and daughters-in-law,
Buster and Pat Terry, Daniel and Jenny Terry, and George and Renee Terry;
daughters and sons-in-
law, Audrey and Ned Lewis and Rebecca and Dick Cutcher; 19 grandchildren
and 18 great-
grandchildren; one brother, James "Ray" Keeton; and sister and
brother-in-law, June and Willard
Phillips.
Funeral service will be 8:30 pm Wednesday in
Holley-Gamble Funeral Home.
Graveside service is 10 am Thursday in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in
Andersonville.
Family will
receive friends 7-8:30 pm Wednesday.
