Mildred Irene Keith, 57,of Knoxville died Monday in St. Mary's Medical Center.

Born Feb. 4, 1937 in Knoxville, she was the daughter of Millard and Hazel Mae Towe Poynter. Mrs. Keith was employed in sales by J.C. Penney and was a member of Way of Life Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her father, Millard Poynter and brother, Hugh Gene Poynter.

Survivors include her mother, Hazel Mae Poynter of Knoxville; daughter, Kimberly Keith of Clinton, brother and sister-in-law, Robert F. and Carolyn Poynter of Knoxville; sister-in-law, Linda Poynter of Knoxville; niece, Janice Crumpley; nephew, Bob Poynter Jr.; and close friends, Cara Moore, Daisy Hudgins and Louise Sullivan.

Funeral service will be conducted 10:30 am Thursday in Tennessee Valley Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Kermit Troutman and the Rev. James Loveday officiating. Burial will be in Tennessee Valley Memory Gardens, Powell.

Friends may call 7-9 pm Wednesday.
