Jules Charles Kendra, 73, of Claxton, died Friday in UT Medical Center.

He was born Jan. 12, 1922, in Philadelphia, Pa., the son of Charles and Mary Lorene Kendra. He was a member of St. Therese Catholic Church, Clinton, and was retired from Martin Marietta after working for 17 years as an estimator planner.

Survivors include his wife, Louise Kendra; daughters and sons-in-law, Susan Kendra of Philadelphia, Pa., and Jane and Tim Truett and Louise and Randy Trudell, all of Knoxville; a son and daughter-in-law, Joe and Suzanne Kendra of Guntersville; granddaughter, Rachel Kendra of Guntersville, Ala.; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service was Tuesday in St. Therese Catholic Church. Burial was in Grandview Memorial Garden.

Memorials may be made to St. Therese Catholic Church.

Holley-Gamble Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
