Edom Jennings (Whiz) Kendrick,
72, of Holly Pond,
Ala., died Sunday at his home.
A native of Clinton, he was the son
of the late Jennings Bryon
and Joyce O'Neill Kendrick.
Mr. Kendrick was retired from Burns and
Roe Construction Co.,
where he was a utility operator at a water treatment plant. He has been
employed by the company for
13 years.
A member of Grandi Flora Church of Christ, he was a World
War I I Army
veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Helen Young Kendrick; a son,
Tim Kendrick of Meridian,
Miss.; daughters, Judy Reed of Knoxville; Teresa Rutledge of Jasper,
Ala.; seven grandchildren and
one great-granddaughter; brothers, John Kendrick of Atlanta; Mont
Kendrick of Clinton; sisters, Bonnie
Redmond of Knoxville; Jewel Lay of Clinton; and Emma Norman of
Clinton.
Services were
held Tuesday morning at Arab Funeral Home Memorial Chapel, Arab, Ala.,
with Ronald Earwood and
Bobby Starnes officiating. Burial was in Gilliam Springs
Cemetery.
