Bill J. Kennedy, 29, of Lake City Rt. 2, died Saturday at East Tennessee Baptist Hospital in Knoxville.

He had been employed by Lakeshore Hospital as a patient counselor before becoming ill. He was a member of Willow Brook Baptist Church.

His father, John Kennedy, died in May of 1991.

Survivors include his mother, Brenda Kennedy of Lake City; grandmother, Mary Phillips of Caryville; brothers, John and Daniel Kennedy of Lake City; a brother and sister-in-law, Mark and Lisa Kennedy, also of Lake City; a niece, Bobbie Sue Kennedy of Lake City; many other relatives and friends.

Services were June 16 in the chapel of Martin Funeral Home in Lake City with the Rev. Phil Gross officiating. Burial was in Leach Cemetery.
