Services were held Wednesday morning at Fraterville Baptist Church for Henry Howard Kennedy, 47, who died Sunday at the Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge. Burial was at Leach Cemetery. The Rev. Bill Thomas and the Rev. Edwin Phillips officiated. Cox Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Kennedy was of the Baptist faith. He was a former 27 year employee of Ford Furniture Co., in Lake City. A native of Campbell County, he was a member of C.O.R.A.

His father, Carlie Kennedy, preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife, Betty Phillips Kennedy of Fraterville; son and daughter-in-law, Kevin Howard and Jennifer Kennedy of Lake City; son, Brian Keith Kennedy of Fraterville; a grandson, Trevor Howard Kennedy of Lake City; mother, Frances Kennedy of Fraterville; brothers, Billy Kennedy of Clinton; Charlie Kennedy of Zion, IL; James Kennedy of Kenosha, WI; sisters, Marilyn Shipp of Jacksboro; Mildred Kennedy of Lake City, and several nieces and nephews.
