Leamon Kenney, 58, of Oliver Springs, died Tuesday at his home.
A life-long Oliver Springs resident, Mr. Kennedy was employed with the Oak Ridge City School System for 17 years and worked in Robertsville as a custodian. He was a member of the Frost Bottom Baptist Church, the Omega Masonic Lodge 561 F & AM and the Fraternal Order of Eagles.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Fannie Daugherty Kennedy, and by a brother, Lowell Kennedy.
Survivors include his wife, Joyce Ann Kennedy of Oliver Springs; father and stepmother, James and Aileen Kennedy of Kingston; a son and daughter-in-law, Victor J. and Elaina Patterson of Oliver Springs; a daughter and son-in-law, Cindy Lou and Larry Colson of Oliver Springs; brothers, Elmer Kennedy of Manchester, Glenn Kennedy of Everett, WA; and George Kennedy of Harriman; sisters, Zelma Kennedy of Oliver Springs and Glenna Cornette of Ypsilanti, MI; stepsister, Betty Brown of Temple, GA; mother-in-law, Lassie Patterson Key of Oliver Springs; and two grandchildren, Brandy Nicole Patterson and Tony Colston, both of Oliver Springs.
Funeral service will be 8 pm Thursday in Sharp Funeral Home Chapel, Oliver Springs, with the Rev. Oscar Hensley and the Rev. David Coffman officiating. Graveside service and burial will be noon Friday in Frost Bottom Cemetery.
