The Rev. Otis Kesterson, 72, died Wednesday at the lake City Health Care Center. Mr. Kesterson was a Lake City rt. 3 resident before entering the Center.
He was a member of the Fraterville Baptist Church. Mr. Kesterson was ordained in 1964 and had pastored several Baptist churches in the area. He also was a retired brick mason and an Army veteran of World War II.
His parents were the late Troy and Verna Kesterson.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Macel Byrd Kesterson of Lake City; a daughter, Faye Weaver of Lake City; a son, Leon Kesterson of Clinton; 12 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; three sisters, Myrtle Busbee of Loudon; Marie Watts of Lake City; Dorothy Hembree of Clinton; four brothers, Clarence Kesterson of Clinton; Glenn Kesterson of Louisville, KY; Clyde Kesterson of Chicago, IL and Arnold Kesterson of Columbus, OH.
Services were held Saturday at Cox Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ray Buchanan and the Rev. Bill Thomas officiating. Burial was at Clinch River Cemetery.
