William F. “Floyd” Kesterson, age 84, of Lake City passed away Tuesday, Oct. 28, 1997, in Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge.
He was a member of Clinch River Baptist church of Lake City. He was the longtime owner of Kesterson’s Grocery. He was one of the founders of the North Anderson County Utility District. He was a member of the the Lake City Masonic Lodge.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Pride Kesterson; parents, David E. and Ella Moore Kesterson; sisters, Mary Kesterson and Myharee Foust; and daughter, Wanda Louise Kesterson.
Survivors: sons and daughters-in-law, Kenneth and Judy Kesterson of Medford, and David E. and Rhonda Kesterson of Medford; son, Ronald L. Kesterson of Knoxville; sister, Georgia Parks of Lake City; special friend, Ella McLean of Lake City; grandchildren, Candy Carden, Chucky Kesterson, Rhonda Brummitt, Patrick Kesterson, Christopher Kesterson, and Alan Kesterson; four great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was 6-8 pm Wednesday, Oct. 29, in Clinch River Baptist Church.
Funeral service was 8 pm Wednesday, Oct. 29, in Clinch River Baptist Church with the Rev. Tom Byrge and Rev. George DeLozier officiating.
Interment was 11 am Thursday, Oct. 30, in Clinch River Cemetery with graveside Masonic Rites.
Cox-Martin Funeral Home, Lake City, was in charge of arrangements.
