Joe H. Lacey, 83, member of the
Anderson County
Court for many years and a vet of the Spanish American War, died Monday
at his home on Clinton, Rt.
4. He farmed in the county all his life after moving here from Knox
County over 50 years ago. He was
an active member of the Spanish American War Veteran
Association.
Survivors, wife, sons,
Everette, Sherman and Otis of Pontiac, Mich.; Howard of Clinton, Rt. 4;
Raymond of St. Helen, Mich.;
Lonas of Maryville, Rt. 1; daughter, Mrs. Sherman Moneymaker; sister,
Miss Nancy Swaggerty of
Knoxville; 1 brother, Buell Lacey of Knoxville; 13
grandchildren.
Services were held at 3 pm
Wednesday at the Farmer's Grove Baptist Church with Rev. J.C. Jones and
Rev. Bedford Bullock
officiating. Burial was in church cemetery; with Holley of Clinton in
charge.
