Arthur Clifton (Ott) Land, 89, of Austell, Ga. died Monday evening, Aug. 20 at the Knoxville Convalescent Center.

Land was formerly of Knoxville and had previously been a patient at the Anderson County Health Care Center.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Mrs. Betty Allen.

Land retired from Wheels an d Brakes in Atlanta, Ga., after 29 years of service. He was a veteran of World War I I, where he served in the United States Army.

He is survived by two brothers and sisters-in-law, Ledford and Laura Allen of Claxton and Victor and Glenna Allen; a sister-in-law, Katherine Land; nieces and nephews, Terri Allen Gaines, Mark Allen, Lisa Allen Stinnett, Charlie Land and Betty Moreland.

The funeral service will be at 10 am on Thursday, Aug. 23, at the Cumberland Memorial Chapel. The Rev. Bud Lane will officiate. Burial will be at Highland Memorial Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 7-9 pm at the Cumberland Memorial Chapel at 5815 Western Avenue at the Cumberland Estates.
