Barto Lane, 83, of Andersonville, died Monday at Methodist Medical Center.

He was born July 10, 1909, in Pine Bluff, Ark., to the late Samuel A. and Vandora Dickson Lane.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Annie Lane, and a daughter, Flora Mildred Lane.

Mr. Lane was a pipeline supervisor for Gulf Oil Co. before retiring. He was a member of the Norris Religious Fellowship and was a World War II Navy veteran.

Survivors include his wife, Marguerite Lane of Andersonville; sons and daughters-in-law, Charles and Pat Lane of New Windsor, IL; Harry and Martha Lane of Glen Carbon, IL; daughter, Martha A. Jones of Centralia, IL; 14 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be at 10:30 am Friday at Green Hills Memorial Gardens in Sapulpa, OK. Holley-Gamble Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
