Floyd Lane, 61, of Oak Ridge, died Sunday, May
5, 1996, in Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge.
Mr. Lane was preceded in death by his
parents, Millard and Lillie Clines Lane; son, Alvin Lane; daughter, Virginia Lane; brothers, Albert Lane
and Arvel Lane Sr.; and sisters, Cindy Portwood, Pauline and Dolly Rhea.
Survivors are his
wife, Peggy Lane of Oak Ridge; daughter and son-in-law, Penny and Charles Perkins of Oak Ridge;
son and daughter-in-law, Floyd Lee and Shelia Lane of Oak Ridge; grandchildren, Kevin and Rusty
Lane, James and Peggy Lane, all of Oak Ridge; sisters, Clara Cox of Oak Ridge; step-grandchildren,
Sue Hatfield of Pikeville, W.Va., Joyce Irean Perkins of Oak Ridge, Charles Kenneth Perkins of Oak
Ridge, Marie Hatfield, Buddy Hatfield and Liddia Hatfield of Pikeville, W.Va.; brothers-in-law, Charles
Raines and wife, Janice, of Oak Ridge and Benny Raines and wife Phyllis, of Kingston; sister-in-law,
Annie Lane of Clinton; several nieces and nephews; and special friends, Luther Byrge and James Hicks of Clinton and Bobby Duncan of Oak Ridge.
Family received friends 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, May 8, in Holley Gamble Funeral Home chapel.
Graveside services are 11 a.m. Thursday, May 9, in Farmers Grove Cemetery, Clinton, with the Rev. John Brantley
officiating.
