Linard Dwayne (Wayne) Lawson, 30, of Heiskell, died May 25 at his home after a long illness.

Mr. Lawson, a Knoxville native, was a Powell High School graduate. He had been employed in construction before becoming ill.

He was a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Powell.

Survivors include his wife, Mary E. Lawson; mother and father, Dorothy and Robert Collier of Norris; sisters, Debbie Vance and Leno Lowery of Heiskell; nephews, Jason and Jonathon Vance of Heiskell.

Services were held Wednesday afternoon in the chapel of Tennessee Valley Funeral Home with the Rev. Billy Edmonds officiating. Burial will be at Tennessee Valley Memory Gardens.
