Callie Marlow, age 81, of Lake City passed away Tuesday, Aug. 25, 1998, in Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge.

Mrs. Marlow was born in Anderson County on Oct. 16, 1916. She was a member of Mountain View Baptist Church. Mrs. Marlow enjoyed cooking, quilting and canning.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Earnest Marlow; son, Jackie Lee Marlow; daughter, Mary Alice Yelencich; parents, Josie Wilson and Dunk Daugherty; stepfather, Jake Wilson; and sister, Rainey Duncan.

Survivors: children, Harvey and Nancy Marlow of Garrettsville, OH; Rainey and Junior Jobe of Lake City; Otis and Jean Marlow of Seven Hills, OH; Linda Wilson of Lake City; Cindy and George Stansbury of Barnsdall, OK; Johnny and Patsy Marlow of Greensboro, NC; Hubert Marlow of Lake City; and Faye Reece of Cleveland, OH; sister, Alice Wilson of Lake City; 30 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.

Visitation was 7-9 pm Wednesday, Aug. 26 in Cox-Martin Funeral Home.

The service was 2 pm Thursday, Aug. 27, in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Charlie Marlow and Rev. Harold Duncan officiating. Interment followed in Mountain View Cemetery.
