Dwight Raymond (Mike) McCallister, 55, died Thursday in Anderson County Health Care Center. He had been a resident there for about two years.

Mr. McCallister was a former resident of Cary, NC.

Mr. McCallister was born May 19, 1938 in Charleston, W. Va., to Raymond and Melba Neal McCallister.

He owned and operated the Cary Glass and Door Co. in Cary, NC., and was a member of the Cary Masonic Lodge No. 198.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Denver McCallister. Survivors include daughters, Susan Davis of Raleigh, NC; sons, Mark, Michael, Christopher, Ryan, and Kevin McCallister, all of Raleigh, NC; four grandchildren; mother, Melba McCallister and sister, Helen Lawson of Clinton; Ruth Campbell of Middlesboro, KY; brothers, Duane McCallister of Clinton and Douglas McCallister of Monterey; a special niece, Patricia Chase of Clinton; several other nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were Saturday night in Holley-Gamble Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be 2 pm Sunday in Oak Grove Cemetery in Lake City.
