A memorial service was held Wednesday at Cox Funeral Home in Lake City for Gladys Hawkins McColl, 62, of Lake City, who died Sunday at Holston Valley Hospital in Kingsport.

The. Rev. Bill Thomas officiated. Any memorials may be made to the American Lung Association of Tennessee, 1900 Winston Rd, Suite 312, Knoxville, TN 37919.

She was preceded in death by her stepfather, Rufus McGhee, and a son, Otha Hawkins.

Mrs. McColl, who lived in the Fraterville community, was of the Baptist faith. An Anderson County native, she was a retired assembly worker.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Gloria and John J. Byrne of Kingsport; sons and daughters-in-law, Kelly and Carol Norman of Lake City, Nate and Patricia Hawkins of Knoxville; Ronnie Hawkins of Lake City; 11 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; mother, Cenia McGhee and a sister, Azalae (Cas) Cook of Lake City.
