Vilda Williams McCoy, 80, of Briceville, died Sunday, May 22, at Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge.
She was born Feb. 26, 1914 in Briceville to C.I. and Lula Williams. Mrs. McCoy was a member of First Baptist Church in Briceville. She was a homemaker and enjoyed gardening, flowers and playing the piano.
Mrs. McCoy was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Don Williams.
Survivors include her husband of 65 years, Eric McCoy of Briceville; son and daughter-in-law, Bobby and Joyce McCoy of Briceville; granddaughter, Lorie Ann McCoy of Cookeville; a grandson, Robert Shawn McCoy of Briceville; sisters, Opal Perry and Aretta Daugherty, both of Cleveland, OH; special niece, Mary Lee Hooks and husband, Bobby of Lake City; and special sister-in-law, Quida Williams of Seymour.
Funeral service was Tuesday in Cox Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Rick Teague officiating. Interment was in Circle Cemetery.
