Zelma McCullough of 664 Tri-County Blvd., Oliver Springs, died Nov. 2 at Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge.
She was a native of Oliver Springs. Her parents were the late Charlie and Maude Webster.
Mrs. McCullough was employed in the 1940s by Tennessee Eastman’s Y-12 plant. She worked as a primary recovery operator. She had also worked at the Harriman Hosiery Mill.
A member of Mount Pisgah Baptist Church, she belonged to a Sunday school class and the church choir. She also was a member of Eastern Star Chapter No. 211 in Oliver Springs, the Rebekah Lodge No. 74 in Newell, VA, and the AARP.
Her favorite past times were playing the organ, raising flowers and vegetables.
She moved to Newell in 1946 where she worked at the Homer Loughlin China Company and for Edwin M. Knowles where she did decal decorating. Mrs. McCullough also owned and operated a tourist home for 19 years and had worked at the Panhandle Press Newspaper.
Survivors include her husband, John F. McCullough; two sisters, Mae Daniels of Oliver Springs and Mary Brown of Greenville; several nieces and nephews.
Five brothers, Dana, Smith, Marvin, Walter and Dan Webster preceded her in death.
Funeral services were held Nov. 3 in Sharp Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Garvin Walls Jr. officiating. Burial was in Mount Pisgah Cemetery.
