Mrs. Leo (Toots) McDonald, 77, died Thursday at Anderson County Health Care Center. She had been there approximately six months. Before entering the center, she lived in the Blowing Springs community, Clinton Rt. 2.
Mrs. McDonald was born in Middletown, OH, and reared in the Robertsville community, now Oak Ridge.
Her husband was the late Russell McDonald.
Mrs. McDonald worked at Magnet Mills until it closed and later worked at Rhea’s Pottery in the Blowing Springs community.
She enjoyed raising flowers, her son said.
She was a member of Blowing Springs Baptist Church.
Survivors include sons, Joe Eugene McDonald and Kaster Allen McDonald, both of Clinton; a granddaughter, Mrs. Ed (Jilda Jo) Moore of Knoxville; sister-in-law, Mrs. Thelma Rhea of Clinton, brother-in-law and his wife, Mr. and Mrs. Horace (Oda Mae) McDonald of Clinton; several nieces and nephews; many friends and a special devoted friend and school teacher, Mrs. Vesta Underwood of Clinton.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 pm Sunday at Blowing Springs Baptist Church with the Rev. Jimmy Davidson and The Rev. Gary Smith officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Holley-Gamble Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
