Alice McGhee, 88, of Oliver Springs, died Wednesday in the home of her daughter, Jean Edwards of Oliver Springs,

The daughter of William O. and Lucy A. Hoskins Patterson, she was born April 30, 1907, in Oliver Springs.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Fred McGhee, who died in 1980; and grandson, Gary who died in 1970 in the Vietnam War.

Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, jean and Eugene C. Edwards of Oliver Springs; half sisters, Audrey White of Oak Ridge and Madge Coker, Mildred Patterson and Lavanchia Patterson, all of Oliver Springs; grandchildren; Steve of Kingston, Sheila of Pensacola, FL, Ramona of Nashville, Robby and Michael, both of Oliver Springs and Seymoine of Jacksonville, FL; 11 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

Funeral service will be 8:30 pm Thursday in Sharp Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ellis Patterson officiating. Graveside service and burial will be 11 am Friday in Oliver Springs Cemetery.

Friends may call 7 to 8:30 pm Thursday in Sharp Funeral Home. Sharp Funeral Home, Oliver Springs, was in charge of arrangements.
