Charles Eugene (Sack) McGhee, 47, of Fowler Street in South Clinton, died Sunday in Knox County. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 8:30pm at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Warner Hawkins officiating. Burial will be Thursday at 10:30 am at Grandview Memorial Gardens.
Mr. McGhee was an Anderson County native, the son of Elbert and Lula Mae Marlow McGhee.
He was employed as a utilities stocker in the tire assembly department at DICO in Clinton and was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include his wife, Linda Faye McGhee of Clinton; sons, Gary McGhee of Clinton, Larry, Alvin, and Donnie McGhee of Lake City; stepsons, Johnny Kennedy of Clinton and Dean Davis of Lake City; step daughters, Sandy Foster of Clinton and Mildred Davis of Lake City; mother, Lula Mae Cooper and step-father, Bob Cooper of Lake City; three grandchildren, Larry McGhee Jr. and Christopher Davis of Clinton, John Thomas Davis of Lake City; sisters, Mary Seeber, Connie Cooper, Barbara Hawkins, Patricia Cooper, Ida Mae McGhee, Debbie Cooper, Jeannie Cooper, Lisa Hawkins and Kathy Braden all of Lake City; brothers, David, Jerry and Delbert McGhee, Ray Starl Jr., Delford, Frank and Robert Cooper all of Lake City and other relatives.
