J. C. McGhee, 66, of Oliver Springs, died Thursday, April 1, at his home.
He worked as a painter for Rust Engineering Co. for 20 years and was a member of the Painter’s Union, Local 437, in Knoxville.
He was born Feb. 16, 1927.
Mr. McGhee served with the Army during the Nuremburg war trails in Germany. He was a member of Community Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Lucille T. McGhee; six daughters, Alice Faye Bitar, Donna Kay Evans and Teresa Diane Breeden, all of Oak Ridge; Wilma Jean Lowe of Clinton; Tammy Renee Fuller of Charlotte and Lori Anne McGhee of Oliver Springs; two sons, J. C. (Bud) McGhee Jr. and William Ray McGhee, both of Oliver Springs; three sisters, Mildred Scribner and Thelma Anderson, both of FL, and Barbara Langston of Oliver Springs; brother, William Earl McGhee of Oliver Springs; 15 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Graveside services were held Sunday at Anderson Memorial Gardens.
Martin Oak Ridge Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
