Age 89, passed away October 31, 1998, at the home of his daughter, Hannah Van Horn in Hawkins County. He had been ill for several months. Mr. Miller worked with the electrical department of Rust Engineering Company for many years until his retirement. He was a member of South Clinton Baptist Church. He was born May 14, 1909. Survivors: wife, Aray Miller, Clinton; daughters and sons-in-law, Martha and Alan Finkel, Oxford, N.C., Hannah and Baker Van Horn, Knoxville and Hawkins County, Nancy and Tom Wright, Fletcher, N.C.; son and daughter-in-law, Shubert and Sue Miller, Clinton; sisters, Margaret Miller, Knoxville, Mrs. Louise Lea, New Orleans, La.; three grandchildren, several cousins, stepchildren and step-grandchildren. The body may be viewed at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton at your convenience. A graveside service will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, November 3, 1998, with Dr. Jerry Prevo of Alaska officiating. Holley-Gamble Funeral Home of Clinton in charge of all arrangements.
