Clyde E. Nance, 69 of Norris, died Tuesday in his home.
Born Dec. 4, 1926, in Anderson County, he was the son of Robert and Mattie Johnson Nance. Mr. Nance was a member and deacon of Main Street Baptist Church, Lake City. He was retired from Martin Marietta Y-12, a U.S. Army veteran of WW II, and a member of Coal Creek Chapter 492 F&AM.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and sister, Mary Frank Wilson.
Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Wilma Padget Nance of Norris; son and daughter-in-law, David and Judy Nance of Norris; grandson, Darin Nance of Norris; granddaughter, Jennifer Nance of Norris; sisters and brothers-in-law, Eunice and Bobby Day and Johnnie and Kenneth Lambert, all of Titusville, FL; several nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.
Funeral service will be 8 pm Thursday in Main Street Baptist Church with the Rev. Don Martin officiating. Burial will be 2 pm Friday in Oak Grove Cemetery, Lake City.
Family will receive friends 6 to 8 pm Thursday in Main Street Baptist Church, Lake City.
Cox Funeral Home, Lake City, was in charge of arrangements.
