Elizabeth Elder Nance, 71, of Clinton died Monday at her home. Born June 28, 1922 in Meigs County, she was the daughter of Tennie Denton and James Thomas Elder.

She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Oak Ridge.

Survivors include her husband, Lon T. Nance; one son, David Arthur Nance of Huntington, WV; one daughter and son-in-law, Marjorie Nance Skipper and Franklin on Clinton; brothers, Tom Elder and wife Crochia of Dayton and Jake Elder and wife Luretha of Chattanooga; two grandchildren, David Skipper and wife, Maria of Oak Ridge and Angie Skipper Allen and husband, Max of Houston, TX; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were Wednesday in Weatherford Mortuary with Rev. Kenneth Henderlight officiating. Interment was in Anderson Memorial Gardens.
