Benjamin D. (Bud) Nichols, 59, of Heiskell passed away Wednesday at St. Mary’s Medical Center.

Mr. Nichols was a volunteer parole officer for the State Department of Corrections.

Survivors include wife, Claudia Nichols; son and daughter-in-law, David and Tamara Nichols of Heiskell; daughter and son-in-law, Teresa Adelaide and Laurence Berney; grandchildren, Christopher and Katherine Nichols, Benjamin and Jonathan Berney, all of Knoxville; stepsons, Steven and Danny Weaver of Halls; sister and brother-in-law, June and George Brummette of Knoxville; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Saturday morning at Rose Chapel with the Rev. Kelsie Jessee officiating.

Graveside services were held at Bookwalter Cemetery.
